Private and small group swimming lessons in Westhumble for children aged 4+ years old. Non-swimmers to intermediate.
Amoroso swim school is a new private swim school established in September 2025, by Ollie Amoroso.
We focus on the vital core aquatic skills with emphasis on developing confidence in the water and stroke technique to a high competitive standard. Other fun aspects that we will cover in each term include diving lessons, personal survival and underwater swimming.
As an alternative to the formal and structured leisure centres we offer small group and private swimming lessons for children in a safe and professional environment.
All lessons are operated in accordance with the guidelines of Swim England.
The pool is located in the beautiful village of Westhumble. Newly refurbished to a high standard, this 13.5 m indoor pool provides a safe and calm environment for your child to learn how to swim. With a maximum depth of 2m, we are able to provide children with the opportunity to learn important skills like diving and water safety/personal survival.

Depth: 1.2 - 2m
Temperature: 30°C - 31°C
Location: RH5 6AN

With 100% of my undivided attention, private lessons are ideal for parents who want focused, rapid development in a more relaxed setting for their child.
£50 per 30 min lesson

For siblings or friends of a similar ability. The private lesson provides more personalised lesson. Having a swimming partner can be motivating and encourage developing stroke techniques and confidence.
Parents looking for shared private lessons for siblings will receive a sibling discount.
£30 per 30 min lesson per child

Bespoke, social learning experience. The small class size of just three children allow them to get the most swimming out of their lessons. We follow a structured plan to ensure all four strokes are taught or introduced along with key skills.
We offer a free trial lesson if this is your first time with us.
£20 per 30 min lesson per child
Swimming has always been an important part of my life, from having lessons as a child to swimming competitively for Dorking Swimming Club. That passion led me to a career in the water, where I've become fully qualified and had the privilege of teaching children to swim for five years. This, combined with my competitive past has given me the extensive knowledge of all four stroke techniques and all core aquatic skills necessary for your child to develop confidence and skills in the water.
I am a SEQ Level 2 teacher with a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC renewed 21/02/2025) and Safeguarding & Protecting Children, including a full DBS. I am also fully insured being a Fellow of the Institute of Swimming.
My goal with Amoroso swim school is to provide a safe and fun environment where children feel able to learn at their own pace and build a lifelong love for swimming.
